Small Christian Communities
PrayerSMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES are groups of 8 to 10 adult parishioners who meet weekly to read, reflect upon and pray using the Sunday readings. Meetings are scheduled morning, afternoon and evening at the Parish Activities Center (PAC Hall) or at a parishioner’s home. There is a trained facilitator and booklets for each group’s participants. Joining a Small Christian Communities faith-sharing group is a proven way to enter more fully into the Sunday Mass, relate the Word of God to daily life and be more involved with parish community.

Sign up is the month before Lent begins each year. Please consider joining a group if possible.  Many continue to meet throughout the year, and have formed strong bonds with members.  Some of these groups have been meeting for several years.  This is a wonderful way to strengthen your faith and participate in parish life with your fellow parishioners.

BISHOP'S ANNUAL APPEAL
BAA LogoThe Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) is a primary source of funding to help sustain and expand ministries of the 96 parishes, 21 missions, 34 Catholic Schools, and agencies throughout the diocese. Each year, every Catholic in the diocese is asked to respond in prayer, in sharing their talents, and in making a sacrificial gift in support of this important appeal.
We hope you will prayerfully consider supporting our Diocese and the many ministries that benefit from your generosity.

HURRICANE PRAYER

O Heavenly Father, all the elements of nature obey your commands, including hurricanes.   Calm the storms that threaten us and turn our fear of Your power into praise of Your goodness. Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
