- John 11:25
Funeral Mass
Jesus came to heal the whole person, body and soul.
If you are looking to have a Funeral Mass for a loved one who has passed, please contact Leasa Leewe at 843-651-3737 ext 228.
Creamation Guidelines
Cremation is permitted, and we urge all Catholics to follow the guidelines of the Church. The Church requires that All cremated remains be buried. The urn is to be interred in a cemetery in the ground or in a niche in a columbarium. Anything else is disrespecting the body that God gave us. Scattering the ashes anywhere, separating the ashes into groups for distribution, or keeping the urn with the ashes in the house for years is absolutely wrong in all cases.
Please remember that life is a gift from God and we are given human life with our bodies and souls together. We are made in the image and likeness of God!
Columbarium
Location
The original columbarium site is located on the left side of the church. It encompasses a peaceful and prayerful setting
with a beautiful water feature, the centerpiece of which is a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There are also benches
available to memorialize in this site. The new site is across the driveway from original columbarium location.
Cost of a Niche
A new site was completed in June 2023
with 3 free-standing, 2-sided units with a total of 468 companion niches. The prices are $3,400 to $3,600, depending on the row they are located in. All of our niches hold 2 standard urns, and the total cost includes engraving. Urns must be purchased separately from the funeral director of your choice.

Niche Reservation Form
When this form is received at the parish office, we will contact you to come into the office to receive a packet containing the Diocesan Rules and Regulations, the general specifications for the columbarium, and a License Agreement. At that time, you will complete the License, choose the location of your niche from available spaces, and purchase it. Full payment is required at the time of purchase in the form of cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express accepted).

The cost of each niche includes a portion which is the fair market value of the goods or services being provided to the Licensee, representing the fee for the License, and the balance is a charitable donation by the Licensee to the Diocese, for the benefit of the Parish. The Diocese is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and donations to it are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding specific questions about your donation. These amounts will be indicated on the license and sales receipt when niches are purchased.
