Hospital/Homebound Ministry
Rita LaBruzzo - (615) 480-7584
An Extraordinary Minister to the Sick and Homebound visits the sick and those unable to share in the communal celebration of the Eucharist. They bring friendship and Christ’s presence to those they visit; keeping their connection with the parish by bringing a bulletin so they can keep up with what is going on in the parish. Ministering to the sick and homebound is a special ministry; one that is very rewarding.
Jesus had a special concern and ministry to the sick. Christ continues His ministry through Extraordinary Ministers to the Sick & Homebound.
Through the Extraordinary Minister the Body of Christ (the Eucharist and the Church) ministers to the spiritual and emotional needs of those who are homebound: the elderly, the sick, and the dying….
